NBA Trade Rumors: Ben Gordon likely traded to Phoenix Suns in three-way deal?

The Phoenix Suns look like they’re a lock to be active at the trade deadline next week. The only question fans have is who will they unload their valuable trade package on and who will they be getting in return? Right now Evan Turner is a hot name to consider but the Suns may look in a different direction for a trade and gander east to Charlotte at one of their guards.

According to Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, Ben Gordon could end up being someone the Suns add at the trade deadline.

The Suns could facilitate a three-way trade here, as the Bobcats apparently have an offer on the table with the Philadelphia 76ers to send Gordon and a first-rounder their way for Turner.

A three-way deal where Turner heads to Charlotte, Gordon heads to Phoenix and picks plus Emeka Okafor heading to Philadelphia works out financially (perhaps not logically, though) and seems like one of those massive deadline day deals we typically see.

Not bad… I don’t particularly like Gordon, but that would be one way to get someone with giving up a draft pick (no way the Suns give up a pick for him, all picks should come from Charlotte)… I would rather have Phoenix trade Okafor and a pick for Turner and Spencer Hawes.

No way Phoenix does this. Okafor’s contract is way more valuable than Ben Gordon. Plus, guard is the deepest position we have on this team. Dragic, Green, Barbosa, even Ish Smith are all more valuable than Gordon. And did I mention Bledsoe coming back. No chance.

FanSided or BlindSided? This is rediculous. Suns don’t need help at guard, at all. What they need is a big man who can run the floor and score inside and out (Kevin Love anyone?). But let’s be realistic, unless someone offers the Suns picks or a good young core player, they won’t be making a move.

Yes, the Phoenix Suns hand over arguably the best trade chip in the NBA (Okafor’s contract) for nothing more than a washed up guard and the warm feeling of knowing they helped the Cats grab Evan Turner. That’s logical.

this guy is just making up ideas. McDonugh got eric bledsoe for Dudley and a 2nd rounder, and got plumlee and green for scola. surely he can get a ton more with Okafors contract that 80% insured and our other assets. this writers is getting paid to rosterbate

I would rather Charlotte not make any deals at all. Keep Gordon since his contract comes off the boards this year. If we make the playoffs we will still have Portland’s first round pick and we will give ours to Chicago. If we don’t make the playoffs we will have at least 2 picks and 3 if Detroit makes the playoffs. After the season with Gordon’s contract off the books we can use that money to sign a better free agent.
