Many are wondering what the future for kick return specialist Devin Hester holds, and the answer so far is not much. While he was apparently drawing mild interest from teams like the Chiefs, Giants, Eagles and Buccaneers, Hester isn’t meeting with anyone this week and has no scheduled visits with teams planned.

This doesn’t mean that Hester won’t eventually meet with teams, but it also could mean he just doesn’t want to. After spending his whole career in Chicago with the Bears, Hester very well could retire this offseason and hang up his Hall of Fame cleats.
He’s not a young man anymore, isn’t much of a receiving threat and is the very definition of a one-dimensional player. Still, that one-dimension Hester has will likely get him into the Hall of Fame one day, and it’s a skill that many teams will see if the can pry out every last drop from.
