With the Pro Day workout of Johnny Manziel a not too distant memory, speculation of where he gets drafted is unlikely to reach current levels again until a few days before the draft. By then, the teams interested may not include the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Responding to a mailbag question about how likely the Jags are to draft Manziel, John Oehser, senior writer for jaguars.com, most likely left this fan feeling a little flat.

"Yes, I’m sure Bradley loves all the positives about Johnny Football. Bradley loves competitive, confident players who love football, and Manziel is certainly that. I think the chances of the Jaguars drafting Manziel are pretty slim. I keep going back to something Caldwell said about a quarterback in this era needing to be able to throw and win from the pocket. Manziel can do that but he showed a tendency in college to want to do other things first. That may be enough to push the Jaguars in a different direction."

The Jaguars have the 3rd pick in the draft.
