The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking to become one of the best teams in the AFC for the second year in a row, a year after finishing with one of the best records in the conference.

I knew this team would turn things around after bringing in Alex Smith and head coach Andy Reid, but I didn’t expect them to turn things around this quick. Now according to the Kansas City Star, head coach Andy Reid said that Husain Abdullah is currently the favorite to win the free safety job for the team.

Coach Reid said that Abdullah played well enough last season that he’ll get first crack at the position.

Now strong safety Eric Berry has been working on improving his pass coverage for the 2014 season, also reported by the Kansas City Star.

"“I’m pretty much ready for whatever comes my way. I feel like he (Kendrick Lewis) taught me enough to where I can handle (free safety).” Eric Berry said via the Kansas City Star."

Football needs to hurry up and get here already.
