Now that the Golden State Warriors have fired head coach Mark Jackson, they will reportedly turn their attention to the likes of the top New York Knicks’ candidate, Steve Kerr, former Miami Heat and Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy and former Memphis Grizzlies’ head coach Lionel Hollins, among others.

This firing also could help the Los Angeles Lakers speed up their coaching search.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, the Lakers are very interested in Jackson now that he is available.

Jackson posted a regular season record of 121-109 and a postseason record of 9-10 in three seasons with the Warriors.
