With the 4th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected Sammy Watkins, wide receiver out of Clemson.

The Bills traded with the Cleveland Browns for the 9th overall pick this year, and the first round and fourth round picks in the 2015 draft.

With all the needs the Bills have on the offensive line, this was a bit of a surprising pick. However it does give Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel a serious weapon to throw the ball to.

Not the worst pick but it could have been better given what the Bills gave up for the pick.

Watkins is a big strong receiver, who has speed to spare. He burned some of the best defenses in college football, and has a lot of potential to become one of the best receivers in the NFL.

The problem that the Bills may have is getting Manuel time to throw the ball, even for someone as speedy as Watkins. If they can sure up the offensive line later in the draft, this pick will be a lot more attractive.
