John Daly is one of the most well-liked players on the PGA Tour, and golfing fans in the Memphis area will have an opportunity to watch him play at this week’s FedEx St. Jude Classic.

Long John Daly is excited to be playing his first event on Tour since the HP Byron Nelson Championship, courtesy of @PGA_JohnDaly:

Daly has played in seven events this season, and made the cut in the Sony Open and the Puerto Rico Open. He is known as one of the most talented players on Tour, and is a two-time major champion. It would be great to see Daly play well this week!

The FedEx St. Jude Classic is the last event before next week’s U.S. Open. Every player on Tour has their own way of getting ready for the majors, with some playing the week before and others focusing on practice and rest. Phil Mickelson is known for playing the week before, and he will be the biggest name in the field.

More from Golf

Mickelson has not been playing well this season, but he has a way of rising to the occasion. The U.S. Open is the only major he has never won, and he will do everything in his power to make sure he has a chance to win.

Other notables in the field include defending champion Harris English, Matt Kuchar, and U.S. Junior Champion Scottie Scheffler (a).
