This year’s NBA Draft class so far has mainly been focused around the big three of Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid, however when you really look at it, there is some great overall talent in the group. One of those players that’s not talked about as much, but should be, is the reigning ACC Player of the Year T.J. Warren out of N.C. State.

More from NBA

Warren, as an individual, was the most dominant force in one of the toughest conferences in all of college basketball last season, averaging 24.9 points per game and 7.1 rebounds.

This young man is a pure scorer that has the ability to take a game over at any moment, and according to Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy, his stock has finally risen enough during this pre-draft process that he may land somewhere in the mid first round.

Warren came out of virtually nowhere last season to be the best player in the ACC, so it’s no surprise that teams in the draft had some questions about him.

However, it also speaks volumes of the work he has put in that he’s made his stock soar that much into the first round; you have to wonder if this young man could be the steal of the entire event when all is said and done.
