The NBA offseason is here and that means it’s time to revisit trades and players who were subject of trade rumors as we approach the NBA Draft later this week. There’s a deadline that players can be flipped for picks, but the Boston Celtics seem to be in no rush t move Jeff Green before that deadline despite the fact it sounds like there’s a team ready to give the C’s what they want.

Chuck Myron is speculating that this mystery team who could be ready to trade for Green is the Phoenix Suns, but the bottom line is that someone is ready to take him on and the Celtics are clearly ready to move him.
"The C’s reportedly already have a team ready to trade him, so that’s a yes, obviously. That’s a little surprising, given his contract, but a team with a degree of flexibility that’s willing to take a risk makes sense. Maybe Phoenix? (That’s just a guess)."
There were talks that the Celtics could trade Green at the trade deadline and the Houston Rockets were pushing for him in a proposed Omer Asik trade. Houston isn’t likely to be the mystery team as they’re trying to throw as much fuel overboard as they can so that they can take on LeBron James and/or Carmelo Anthony this offseason.
Phoenix makes sense for Green but the mystery suitor could be any number of teams could be in the mix for Green and we could see him get moved before or possibly during the draft this year.
