NBA Draft 2014: Los Angeles Clippers fans react to C.J. Wilcox on Twitter

The Los Angeles Clippers were the subject of trade rumors in the hours leading up to tonight’s NBA Draft with the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers looking to trade into the first round and the Clippers reportedly seeking wing help.

When the No. 28 pick rolled around and the Clippers were on the clock

With Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and a plethora of wing players on the roster and a head coach in Doc Rivers who is ready to win championships now, it made some sense to explore trade possibilities to acquire a veteran presence to help them against the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers, among others in a loaded Western Conference.

However, with no trade in the works, the Clippers took C.J. Wilcox from the Washington Huskies. Wilcox, a 6-5senior  guard, averaged 18.3 points 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists last year for the Huskies.

The reaction from Twitter ensued after Wilcox moved south from Seattle to L.A.
