NBA Free Agency is officially open and that means we’re going to start hearing more and more names mentioned with contending teams looking to find the final pieces of their championship puzzle.

More from Chicago Bulls

Caron Butler decided he wanted to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder last season over all other teams including the Miami Heat but it ended up that he got bounced out of the postseason a round shy of the NBA Finals. He’s now back on the market and will be getting interest from both the Thunder and Heat again but also the Chicago Bulls and Los Angele Lakers as well.

The Bulls will have to be careful who they reach out ot with interest in as most of their money will be tied up in Carmelo Anthony and their pursuit of signing him. The Lakers are hardly contenders but could be viewing Butler as a way to add some veteran talent that cane help turn the team around and both the Thunder and Heat have previously pursued Butler in the playoff eligibility market back in March.

It’s hard to say where he will land but Butler will find a contender this offseason and the list of suitors will likely grow as Butler continues to get interest from big name teams.
