Well, there were some that were hoping that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon had gotten his act together following his most recent failed drug test and subsequent year-long suspension, but apparently he hasn’t learned anything as he was arrested on Saturday morning in North Carolina.

The news was first broke by Matt Anderson, an investigative producer for WKYC in Cleveland.

For a time, there was speculation as to whether or not it was the Browns wide receiver, but after further investigation into the Raleigh data base, it was indeed the NFL star that was taken into custody.

Just this past week it was announced that the hearing for his appeal of his suspension will be heard this July, but now it looks as if the chances of him seeing any time on an NFL field this season are out the window, and even time past this season could be in jeopardy.

Gordon is coming off a season in which he was the best wide receiver in the NFL, catching for over 1,600 yards and nine touchdowns, and he was expected to be an integral part of the Browns’ rebuilding campaign.
