The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to land Kevin Love in a trade this summer but things aren’t going as smoothly as they may have hoped.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

For starters, the Cavs are looking at their own assets with an unwillingness to move them, which is complicating the situation with Minnesota. Then there’s the possible need for a third team, which will add more assets and seemingly muddle things even further while somehow leading us to resolution.

According to Sam Amico from Fox Sports Ohio, the Cavaliers are looking for a third team in the Kevin Love trade and may have found one in the Philadelphia 76res, who apparently covet guard Dion Waiters and may help this deal finally happen.

"On top of all that, there are league-wide whispers of a third team perhaps getting involved in a potential Cavs-Wolves deal, whispers of the 76ers possessing a strong interest in Cavs guard Dion Waiters, whispers of another major transaction on the way."

Of course, there are so many moving parts in these potential trade scenarios that it’s almost impossible to keep up but if the 76ers get involved then things could start moving at a more rapid pace towards a conclusion to this whole mess but give how far things have gotten in the period of time in which a trade should have already happened, you can’t blame Cavs fans for not holding their breath on this latest rumor.
