The Carolina Panthers opened up training camp today as they prepare for the upcoming NFL football season. The team is hoping to build off last year’s success, in which they went 12-4 before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

More from Carolina Panthers

Among the players that reported to training camp today was former first round draft pick and Pro Bowler DeAngelo Williams. In his ninth training camp, Williams decided to report in style. Check out how Williams got into training camp earlier today in the picture below.

It’s unlikely that any other player on the Panthers could boast that they drove up to training camp in a segway.

Even though Williams clearly has style and flair, he is no match for Reggie Wayne, who showed up to the Indianapolis Colts’ training camp earlier this week in an Indy Car.

Williams has had a strong career with the Panthers, spanning eight seasons. Last year he started in 15 games for the Panthers, and compiled 843 yards on 201 carries. He also notched four total touchdowns last season as well.

While Williams may not be the explosive athlete he once was, he is still an integral part to the Panthers team. Considering the fact that the Panthers utilize a running back by committee approach, it has lengthened the career of Williams thus far.

It will be interesting to see if Williams remains No. 1 on the depth chart coming out of training camp this season.
