Jimmy Kimmel and Clayton Kershaw did a bit where Kimmel put an apple on his head and Kershaw tried to knock it off by lobbing baseballs at it. Unfortunately, the bit did not end in disaster. It ended in Kershaw successfully knocking the apple off Kimmel’s head after a couple of tries.

More from Los Angeles Dodgers

I’m pretty sure Kershaw could have knocked the apple from the top of Kimmel’s dome on the first attempt but they wanted to milk it a little bit. I’m also pretty sure those are not actual baseballs.

Everything about this video is misleading, quite frankly. You think it’s going to be this awesome clip of Clayton Kershaw splitting Jimmy Kimmel’s head with a 95 MPH heater but it’s just him soft tossing balls at Kimmel’s melon. And Kimmel sitting there giggling.

The clip does not deliver the goods, in that it does not end with Kimmel lying on the floor bleeding profusely from a massive scalp laceration. Kimmel just isn’t bringing it. Not compared to Jimmy Fallon. Fallon is Clayton Kershaw and Kimmel is Jake Peavy.
