We knew when the Philadelphia Eagles were able to bring in Darren Sproles this offseason that the creative wheels in Chip Kelly’s head would be running at an all-time high. With someone like Sproles, there are so many different things that the offensive innovator can do with him out of the backfield. But could he also be looking to line Sproles up out wide in some cases?

If the reports of who Sproles has been working with recently in camp are any indication, then that is indeed the intention of the second-year Eagles coach with his new toy.
According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, Sproles recently spent some time with the wide receivers group during workouts.
"While most of the running backs worked separately from one on ones, Darren Sproles worked with the receivers. Hey, Chip, I thought he was strictly a running back? Fletcher jammed Sproles at the line and disrupted the timing of a Mark Sanchez’ throw."
The first time that Kelly lines Sproles up as a wide receiver would be nothing new, but specifically having him work with the group for a period of time could show that he plans to do it a lot more than the Saints did in the past.
