At first it looked like Orlando Magic free agent guard E’Twaun Moore would be signing overseas but the latest rumors have been that the Cleveland Cavaliers were interested in bringing in the former Purdue Boilermaker.

However that doesn’t appear to be the case any more.

Rather than joining the Cavaliers, it looks like he is signing with the team who will likely be the Cavaliers’ biggest competition in the Eastern Conference – the Chicago Bulls.

According to Mary Stevens, the Bulls are close to agreeing to a deal with Moore.

The Bulls have had a busy offseason, singing big man Pau Gasol and forward Nikola Mirotic. If star point guard Derrick Rose is healthy, they should contend for a spot in the NBA Finals.

Moore was originally drafted with the 55th-overall pick in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. After a year in Boston, he signed with the Magic but they did not show any interest in bringing him back after two years in Orlando.

Moore averaged 6.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 42.8% from the field, 35.4% from beyond the arc and 76.5% from the free throw line last season. In his career, he’s put up 6.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals per game while shooting 40.7% from the floor, 35.0% from three and 79.1% from the charity stripe.
