Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is a man on a mission. Sure, he was one of the most efficient and gifted offensive players in the NBA last season, but he wants to be known for more than just his shooting stroke.

More from Golden State Warriors

Curry, who has a bit of a reputation for being careless with the ball has dedicated himself to becoming more of a point guard this offseason and has focused on ball control. It’s something that Curry believes separates the good teams from the great teams and he knows the transition is on his shoulders.

But the additions to his game won’t put a stop to his arsenal of offensive moves, as noted by Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward who couldn’t help but gush over how impressive Stephen Curry has been this offseason during their training for Team USA.

"Stephen Curry has been really impressive to me. Everybody knows he’s a really great shooter. But the thing that separates him is his ability to handle the ball and shoot extremely well off the dribble. He’ll do a crossover and you might not think that he’s open. (He might not even think he’s open.) Then he fires off a shot in the blink of an eye.It sure does go in a lot."

Stephen Curry was an MVP talent last season just off his scoring ability alone, but combine that with more natural point guard skills and it’s scary to think just how good Stephen Curry will become this year.
