There were 20 grams of marijuana in the vehicle, and Bell was also facing charges of driving under the influence of marijuana.
Both players are currently with the team in Philadelphia as they prepare to take on the Eagles for their Week 3 preseason match up and they are expected to suit up and take the field.
However, they have now officially been charged with marijuana possession.
Ross Township Police detective Brian Kohlhepp confirmed the news to Pro Football Talk. A third person in the vehicle, 21 year old Mercedes Dollson, was also charged with possession of marijuana after all three of the people took ownership of the big bag of weed.
Bell and Blount will now need to wait until court dates are set for the legal process to play out.
In the meantime, neither player is expected to face any punishment from the league.
