The North Texas football team has unveiled a brand new helmet for the upcoming season and, well, prepare to be blown away.

Not only does North Texas have one of the best nicknames in college football — the Mean Green (how sweet of a sports film was that?) — but now they have one of the greatest helmets in the entire nation.

The helmet features a prominent eagle logo on a metallic green base with a silver facemask.

It may sound rather ordinary, but just check it out:

The North Texas Mean Green kick off their 2014 season on Aug. 30 when they travel to Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns.
