Percy Harvin has played with Russell Wilson and with Brett Favre, and he thinks there are some similarities between the two players beyond their ties to the state of Wisconsin.

More from NFL

Harvin talked Wilson-Favre comparisons after Friday night’s preseason game between the Seahawks and Bears (via PFT):

"“I told him he reminds me of Brett [Favre],” Harvin said. “Just keeping the team calm no matter if it’s third-and-1, second down, whether we’re blowing a team out or whether we’re tied in the NFC Championship. He’s always got an even keel and for me, I look for that comfort in a quarterback and I know a lot of guys on the team look for it too.”“Me and coach [Darrell] Bevell talk all the time because we played with Brett, we talk all the time about their similarities.”"

Harvin, who often has had difficulties following weak leaders, praised Wilson for his leadership which he characterized as “off the charts.”

Russell Wilson clearly has a fan in Percy Harvin, and as long as he keeps feeding Harvin the ball with enough accuracy to let Harvin catch-and-run, he will continue having a fan.

As soon as Wilson misplaces a couple balls, checks away from Harvin a few too many times, looks at Harvin crooked or coughs when Harvin is trying to concentrate, that relationship may head south in a hurry.

Watch out for flying weights, Russell.
