New England Patriots six-time Pro Bowler Logan Mankins is going to have a new home after being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

The deal is not yet 100 percent final, according to Glazer, but both players have learned that the deal has been reached.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tampa Bay receives a fourth-round pick.

Jamon Meredith and Oneil Cousins are currently slated to start for Tampa Bay, so there is definitely room for improvement along the offensive front — especially if the team plans to pound the rock all season long with star running back Doug Martin.

Adding Logan Mankins to the offensive line will instantly upgrade their front.

It is a bizarre decision by the Patriots, however, but head coach Bill Belichick always works in mysterious ways.
