For most experts, it was all but a given that South Carolina was going to rout the Texas A&M Aggies in the SEC opener on Thursday night. South Carolina was the favorite among many to win the SEC East, while Texas A&M was supposed to fall off the face of the college football planet, having lost Johnny Manziel.

Well things turned out a little bit differently, as we found out just how good of a coach Kevin Sumlin is, as well as how set the team is at the quarterback position, even without Manziel on the team. Sophomore Kenny Hill turned in one of the best debut performances in recent memory, throwing for over 500 yards, breaking Manziel’s single-game passing record.

So of course, as you would imagine, after having been doubted for the past few weeks, the A&M players were rather excited about their 52-28 dismantling of the Gamecocks in the locker room following the game, which was a cause for celebration.

And of course, Sumlin was the one to get the party started. Watch in the video below and Sumlin gets the victory party going in full swing.

These guys definitely deserved this celebration, but it’s time to get focused. Because after what they did on Thursday night, their expectations have instantly shot through the roof, with Hill getting some serious Heisman talk already, and the team being pegged as legitimate contenders to dethrone Auburn as SEC West Champions.
