Brandon Marshall is a player who has seemingly redeemed himself from the dark past he walked through to get where he is now. But while he’s had his mistakes in his past, Marshall indeed seems to have done a complete 180 from where he was with the Denver Broncos at the start of his career and where he is now.

It’s for this reason — and the new sexual assault allegations being retroactively brought against him — that has the Chicago Bears receiver so steamed over a recent ESPN E:60 story that dug into his past and brought up his numerous run-ins with domestic violence.

On Thursday, Marshall held a press conference to discuss what happened and his views on the new NFL and the results were a hodge-podge of rants and answers.

Marshall again addressed the ESPN E:60 story about him, saying that he trusted the network and was betrayed.

In addition to that, Marshall took time to praise the new domestic violence rules that the NFL has instituted.

Marshall indeed gets credit for changing into a brand new man, but he can’t just ignore his past. ESPN wasn’t reporting anything factually incorrect, they just blurred the timeline to get the best story. That’s something that may be dishonest but Marshall is a changed man and moving past ESPN is probably in his best interest.
