High school kicker kicks extra point off opponent’s helmet (Video)

High school football often provides some intriguing storylines, highlights, and of course the country’s best up and coming talent. The most recent buzzworthy high school football news came out of Essex High School in Tappahannock, Virginia, as the team features the nation’s largest defensive lineman in Dondre Harris; a 7-foot, 380-pound behemoth.

Today’s wild highschool news comes out of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, where a kicker converted the strangest extra point you will likely ever see at any level of football.

Instead of kicking it straight through the uprights, the ball careened off one of the defender’s helmets, which just barely gave the ball enough arc to make it over the goal post. Check out the wild extra point in the video below.

As you can tell from the 37-0 score, even if the extra point did not make it through the uprights, it is more than likely Dell Rapids would have still won the game. But who doesn’t love a little extra flair during a football game, especially of the high school variety?
