Man wins $57,000 by nailing 15-game NFL Week 3 parlay

When the NFL Week 3 schedule wrapped up, there was one sports bettor from Arizona who was a very happy man.

The bettor, named Rex, won $57,000 when the Chicago Bears defeated the New York Jets on Monday Night Football thanks to a 15-bet parlay he placed at William Hill sports book at the Edgewater Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, according to an ESPN report.

All of the money was won off of a $5 wager.

Not too bad of an investment for good ole Rex.

Rex correctly predicted the winner of all 14 Sunday NFL games, before getting the big win on Monday Night Football.

There was also another bettor who had $57,000 in potential winnings on the line after Sunday, but he decided to go with the Jets over the Bears.

The parlay was made by picking the straight-up winners — no point spreads.

The contest runs throughout the NFL season as a progressive jackpot. Next week, thanks to Rex’s win in Week 3, the jackpot will start at $13,950. The record for the jackpot is $109,290 which happened just a season ago before a Nevada man won in Week 11 of the regular season.
