The Brooklyn Nets flamed out last season despite going all in with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in the offseason. One of the problems that caused the Nets to bottom out in the postseason was an injury to Deron Williams who was playing with bum ankles all season long.

Williams was replaced in the starting lineup at one point by Shaun Livingston, and we’re starting to figure out why the more Williams talks about things. According to Williams himself, he was playing at less than 100 percent all season long and way below that mark at that.

If Williams is still not at 100 percent but is better than he was last year by 20 percent, that just foes to show how low he was in 2013-14. He’s still not at 100 percent yet, but Williams is getting back there and the healthier he is, the brighter the Nets future this season is.
