We rank each of the NFL divisions from worst to the best

After a couple of weeks that were marked by chaos, Week 5 of the NFL season brought a little bit of order to the proceedings with some “chalk” outcomes and predictable resurgences. In last week’s installment of our NFL Power Rankings series breaking down the divisions, we had some significant upheaval on the back of six teams completing their bye week in Week 4, but after a much more stable week with 30 teams in action, we arguably have more data than at any single point during the 2014 season.

At the same time, the NFL is always fluid throughout the year, with both teams and divisions seeing their respective stocks rise and fall like the tide, and this week is no different. However, if there is one thing that appears to be a virtual certainty, it is the division that occupies the basement in these rankings, and we will begin the list with the AFC South for yet another week. Let’s get to it.
