Brazil doesn’t want LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat using three-goggles
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat will square off in Brazil on Saturday and the country does not want the teams using “three-goggles” during the game
The three-goggles has been a sensation of basketball players in the past few years. After a player hits a big three pointer they will make an “O” or goggle with their thumb and index finger above their eye with their other three fingers sticking out. Fun, harmless and something young fans and youth basketball players alike are begging to do. But, Brazil wants none of that when the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat face off in a preseason game in Rio Saturday evening.

The NBA has reportedly sent a memo to both teams that they should refrain from multiple gestures including the three goggles sign.
Obviously no one wants to insult the people of Brazil and cause a walk out at possibly the biggest preseason NBA game to ever exist, so some other gestures will need to be created because you can’t just not celebrate after hitting a three, right?
Here are some other options:
- Backflips
- Chest bumps with various teammates
- Salute (like Cavs three-point specialist James Jones)
- Do a 360 in the air
- Shmoney dance
- Dougie
- Cat daddy
- Funky chicken
- Robot
- Shimmey
Honestly, the options are limitless. So the question to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat is, are you really going to take this? The three-goggles are such an integral part of basketball now, it seems silly not to do it for this game. But, it’s probably time for us to remember that this is an NBA preseason that means nothing but a few dollars. Hopefully, the players can make an informed decision on a non-offensive, but effective three-point celebration.
