Today is Columbus Day, and everyone around the United States celebrates the national holiday in a different way. One bank in Ann Arbor Michigan is making sure you know that while Columbus Day may be on a Monday, every day is Saturday to Wolverines fans.

Some of the biggest rivalries in sports play out right before our eyes every Saturday in college football, with Ohio State and Michigan being one of the more historic bouts.  For Michigan fans, there is likely no school they dislike more than Ohio State University, and that’s who is on the schedule this week for the Wolverines.

The Buckeyes are located in Columbus, and in the great tradition of trolling your rival, the Bank of Ann Arbor fired a shot at their foes in Ohio on this aptly named day:

There is no mention of how the employees of the bank feel about having to work on Monday, but considering the amount of love for the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, it can probably be assumed that plenty of them are Michigan football fans.

Unfortunately, the rub for Wolverines fans this season, is that the off the field jokes are likely the only thing they have to cling to. Having spent the season covering the Minnesota Gophers myself, and watching them take the Little Brown Jug back with ease, the only joke on the field for Michigan is the team.

Let’s chalk this one up as a win for Michigan, but remember, today is Monday and it’s not going to show up in the win column.

The Wolverines and Buckeyes meet at The Horseshoe on November 29, they will be able to settle their differences on the field then.
