Dan Snyder threw a bit of a temper tantrum on Sunday

Dan Snyder wants you all to know that he’s totally chummy with the president of Navajo Nation, as per the deluge of reports and photos of their time spent watching Snyder’s Washington Redskins take on the Arizona Cardinals. What he probably doesn’t want you to know is what happened once he left that box when Washington trailed early in the fourth quarter.

Former Cardinal player Bertrand Berry reported on a postgame radio show, per SB Nation’s Revenge of the Birds, that Dan Snyder, ‘left University of Phoenix Stadium early in the fourth quarter and, before leaving, emphatically spat on the ground inside the stadium as a visible act of disgust.’

Berry’s account was detailed as such:

"The Washington owner was leaving the stadium, as he was unhappy with the ruling on the field that led to an Andre Roberts fumble not being overturned when it appeared he might have gotten his knee down before the ball came out.Snyder was complaining about the call as the elevator went down and then, when he got off the elevator, which is a few feet from the stadium exit, he spat on the floor in disgust."

Even worse than a gross gesture on a hosting facility? Snyder left when the Redskins were only behind 20-13. The team’s owner left his own game when it was a one-possession affair. It’s bad enough that Snyder has been coarse and brash to outside media in relation to his team’s nickname controversy, but now Snyder is showing his true colors in wholly colorful new ways.

As Berry asked on the air, “How can you expect your players to play to the final whistle if you as the owner don’t stay until the end?”
