Mark Wahlberg is a big fan of Chicago Bulls small forward Jimmy Butler and toasted him via Instagram after his game-winning shot on Thursday night

Jimmy Butler had himself a night as the Chicago Bulls came back in the fourth quarter to knock off the Atlanta Hawks in a preseason game on Thursday night as the Bulls small forward hit the game-winning three pointer at the buzzer.

That game-winning three could be the launching pad that Butler needs this season to be a secondary source of offense for the Bulls this season and brought out congratulations from Mark Walhlberg who toasted the former Marquette star with an inebriated Wahlberg offering up his congratulations to Butler.

Who knew Wahlberg was a “Jimmy Buckets” fan?

Butler scored a game-high 29 points on 8-of-14 shooting, including 12-of-14 from the free throw line to lead the Bulls to a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback that saw the Bulls score 38 points compared to the Hawks 18 points as the Bulls pulled out the 85-84 win in front of the home crowd at the United Center.

The Bulls know Butler is one of the top perimeter defenders in the NBA and will be tasked with guarding the opponents best players on a nightly basis, so that means chasing down the likes of LeBron James and harassing the Eastern Conference’s best shooting guards and small forwards so the Bulls guards like Derrick Rose and Doug McDermott can focus more on offense.

However, if Butler can have performances like he did on Thursday in the regular season, this Bulls team could be much more dangerous on the offensive end than originally anticipated.
