The Dallas Cowboys were trolled by a local newspaper after a frustrating loss against the Washington Redskins.

You’d think that at 6-2, most would be thrilled with the Dallas Cowboys‘ start to the season. However after a devastating Monday night loss to the Washington Redskins who were essentially playing their third-string quarterback, it appears the local media is using the opportunity to take digs at “America’s Team”.
With Colt McCoy starting under center for the Washington Redskins, the journeyman signal caller tossed a wonderful game and ended up helping his Redskins defeat the Dallas Cowboys in overtime. That may have been painful enough but the Dallas Morning News wanted to throw salt into the wound by trolling the Cowboys with the following headline.
I’m guessing that headline would have also worked had the Redskins defeated the Indianapolis Colts with McCoy as their quarterback, but it was a pretty solid rip on the Dallas Cowboys as well.
Still, disappointing loss aside, you still have to be impressed with what the Cowboys have done this season and a frustrating loss to a rather poor team shouldn’t extinguish their first half accomplishments. Granted, there are many who are probably wondering if it’s more of the same for the Dallas Cowboys who have shown a tendency to roll over come the latter portion of the season.
