Alfred Morris scored a 14-yard touchdown to extend the Washington Redskins‘ lead over the Minnesota Vikings to 10-0 in early afternoon NFL action.

The Washington Redskins have Robert Griffin III back this week following his ankle injury, and he has been looking very sharp early on in the game. They are playing the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon, and Alfred Morris is doing his best to help take some of the pressure off of Griffin by establishing a solid ground game.

Morris is doing an excellent job of doing just that, and scored a 14-yard rushing touchdown to extend the Redskins’ lead over the Vikings to 10-0. Both teams have struggled this season, but Washington has shown some signs of life over the last couple of weeks. If the Redskins want to make any type of effort to turn their season around, they are going to need both Morris and Griffin to begin playing good football consistently.

When Morris is playing at that level, he is one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL. He has all of the tools to be a consistent workhorse back, but he needs to put everything together and do it every week. Perhaps with Griffin back on the field he’ll be able to return to that dominant form.
