Marshawn Lynch Forces Steven Hauschka To Dance For Him (Video)

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch felt like grooving on Sunday. That was not enough. He wanted a dance partner too.

Steven Hauschka apparently wanted no part of NFL boogie town. Marshawn Lynch had other plans though, as he gave his kicker no choice but to partake in a dance following the Seahawks win over the New York Giants on Sunday.

Dancing, although an energetic and (usually) upbeat past-time, is not for everyone. Thus, it is easy to empathize with Hauschka here. Plus, even if he had lowered his inhibitions, unlike the rest of us, would you really expect the guy to keep up with someone as frenetic as “Beast Mode?”

When Beast Mode tells you to dance, you ask how fast:

Poor Hauschka. He never stood a chance. Once Lynch extended his right arm over the back, it was all over. It is actually a great metaphor for what happened in the actual game of football they were playing in. The New York Giants were trying to stand their ground against the music of the crowd, and the potential dance partner of the Seahawks. At first they resisted, but very soon it became clear who was going to be able to enforce their will. That is exactly what Seattle did following the end of the 3rd quarter, as a 17-17 tie quickly turned into a 38-17 mauling, with Lynch and company leading the charge.

We should cut Hauschka another break. It is too early to tell if he really is the non-dancing type. For all anyone knows that just might not have been the right genre of music. If Lynch wants to make the rest of his time in Seattle matter most, perhaps he can find that special song that will hit home for both men. It would be nice to see this redone with Hauschka enthused.
