ECHL Player Plays The ‘Meow Game’ During Interview (Video)
An ECHL player took a page out of ‘Super Troopers’ and pulled off the ‘meow game’ during a post-game interview.
For those of you who have not seen the cult film ‘Super Troopers’, shame on you. First, get your hands on a copy of the movie because you are depriving yourself of a tremendous movie. Then, check out the scene where a trooper pulls a driver over (the driver played by Jim Gaffigan) and the trooper proceeds to slip in the word ‘meow’ casually in the conversation.

This is exactly what Ray Kaunisto of the Kalamazoo Wings did during a post-game interview. While the interviewer asked Ray questions about the game, he casually slipt in the word ‘meow’ for ‘now’ when he could.
The ECHL player didn’t do a bad job. In about a 40-second interview, Ray was able to slip in seven ‘meows’ . Not sure if the interviewer knew exactly what Ray was doing, but he seemed to be trying to contain his laughter. Which makes me believe that he’s seen the popular comedic movie as well.
It’s good to see a classic movie getting a bit of respect. It also shows what a special breed hockey players are. You won’t see many other sports players trying to pull this off, even if it is just in the ECHL. I’d like to see an NHL player take up the challenge next.
Patty Kane, you’re up.
