Ohio State freshman D’Angelo Russell pulled off a pretty obvious flop on Saturday vs North Carolina and he was pretty happy about it.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are taking on the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday as past of the CBS Sports Classic, and they have fallen behind in the second half. At this point in the game, the Buckeyes need all the plays they can get, mostly from stud freshman D’Angelo Russell, if possible.

Well he stepped up with a play in the second half, although not in the way that you might think.

With his team needing some momentum, Russell decided that he would try his hand at flopping to get his team the ball; you know, something that is common practice at the NBA level.

Russell executed the flop, even though it wasn’t all that good. Despite the horrible flop, he got the call anyway. But what happened after he got the whistle may have been even better.

After getting the call, he decided to pull out a little shimmy dance in celebration.

Although it really was a horrible attempt, Russell seemed pretty happy about it.
