Quarterback Kyle Orton decided to retire from the NFL after a ten-year career
Instead of announcing his retirement with a news conference like 75 percent of players, the 32-year-old Orton retired in a slightly different way.
According to reporter Prescott Rossi of News 8, Kyle Orton went to his locker, told players he was going to a meeting, and then never came back.
Later, players told Rossi they found out Orton had retired through the media.
Orton finished his ten-year NFL career with 18,037 passing yards, 101 touchdowns, 69 interceptions. He also played for five different teams in his career, including the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills.
As a starter, Orton had a 42-40 record and never started a playoff game in his career.
