An NFL agent tweeted that he found Seattle Seahawks FB Derrick Coleman’s Super Bowl ring hidden under a seat in his rental car.

Seattle Seahawks FB Derrick Coleman lost a little something in one of his rental cars. Actually it was a big something. He lost his Super Bowl ring from Super Bowl XLVII that he won last season after the Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos.

Lucky for Coleman, a good Samaritan found the ring under their Enterprise rental car seat. As soon as the good Samaritan found it, he tweeted out to Coleman to let him know what he found.

Of course he had to check how it fit his finger. Who was this person that found the ring? It was NFL agent David Mulugheta. What are the odds that the person that found it is also an NFL agent? How lucky can Coleman get?

What would you do if you found that little nugget wedged in the seats of your rental car? The most that I have found in the rental car is a pack of gum. I wonder why the rental agency didn’t find it as they were cleaning up the car.

Mulugheta tweeted out again that he was going to drop it with Earl Thomas so that he could play Santa and get it to Coleman. Coleman responded to the initial tweet with his thankfulness.

So Coleman was playing a little hide and seek with his Super Bowl ring and the kids, but he forgot to go seek that ring out before he returned the car. Big oops.

So what is the lesson that we can learn from this?

  • Don’t play hide and seek with Derrick Coleman.
  • When you lose a Super Bowl ring. make sure that an NFL Agent finds it.
  • Rent cars from Enterprise, there might be a huge gift under your car seat.
  • Super Bowl rings are made by Tiffany? At least there is a box from Tiffany in the photo that Mulugheta posted. Otherwise Mulugheta may have a nice little surprise for a lady.
  • When you find something that belongs to an NFL player, tweet out a photo of it to them. They will see it.
  • When you rent cars, check the seats before you return it.
  • Did I mention rent with Enterprise?

We are happy that Derrick Coleman was able to get his Super Bowl ring back. Now he will be looking to add another to his collection. The road starts this weekend against the Carolina Panthers.
