An Ohio State student was pepper-sprayed on Monday night after winning the national championship and still made it to his early class on Tuesday, but his professor didn’t.

A champion was crowned last night when the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Oregon Ducks in the first national championship game as a result of a playoff in college football.

Of course when a champion is crowned that means fans party in the streets and riot to a certain extent, and that is what happened in Columbus, Ohio last night. In the video below it looked like the fans were actually pretty well behaved as far as championship crowds go.

The video just shows fans hanging out in the street, not lighting things on fire, not turning over cars, but police still came out in riot gear ready to throw tear gas and use pepper spray.

One student was pepper sprayed over the course of the night and still made it to his class at 8 am on Tuesday morning. His professor however, didn’t make it to class.

For all the talk from Ohio State about students potentially skipping class for the game and the repercussions involved, it is a pretty bad look for a professor to miss a class after everything that student went through and still made it.
