Redskins protesters have now released a clever ad to validate their intentions to have the name changed.

The fight still goes on for some to have the nickname of the Washington Redskins changed, no matter how much backlash the campaign receives from team owner Daniel Snyder. However, the ‘Change the Mascot’ group have now taken things to the next level.

The vocal group has now released a 30-second ad that clearly gets their message across. They use footage from 2012, showing quarterback Robert Griffin III torching the Minnesota Vikings defense. But the one thing that really stands out is the fact that the Redskins logo is nowhere to be found, especially on the helmet, where it’s just a blank white space.

They show the crowd being elated at the fact that their team had just scored, trying to get the message across that even without the logo, the team is the same.

A spokesman for the group, Joel Barkin, doesn’t even believe that people will notice the logo is absent.

“We looked for a play where people showed the most emotion, a play that really highlighted the best aspects of Washington football,” Barkin said via the Washington Post. “The first time you watch it you might not even notice [the missing logo]. That’s sort of the point.”
