Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside revealed an interesting motivation behind his incredible triple-double performance against the Chicago Bulls Sunday.

Hassan Whiteside has been a stunning revelation for the Miami Heat this season. Whiteside, who began the season in the D-League and had accomplished very little in the NBA before this season, has been one of Miami’s best players in recent weeks.

Whiteside’s best performance of the season came on Sunday, when he posted an incredible triple-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 12 blocks against a tough Chicago Bulls frontline.

So, what pushed Whiteside to putting up such an epic performance? According to him, it’s his NBA 2K15 rating.

That is absolutely hilarious.  And it appears the plea to the people behind 2K to raise his rating has worked.

The boost in ratings will be well deserved. Whiteside is proving himself to be a legitimate NBA talent and it’s time that was reflected in 2K.

Whiteside is averaging 7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this season.
