Rob Gronkowski plays dodgeball at hockey game
By Cory Buck
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski continued his rampage through hockey rinks in the USA, and this time it ended in a game of dodgeball.
If you’re looking to celebrate the champs, Rob Gronkowski is available and down for whatever. Just days after he offered a Gronk spike to Boston Bruins when the New England Patriots were honored by local fans for their victory in Super Bowl XLIX, Gronkowski appeared at an ECHL game in Florida and once again was called down to the ice. This time, it ended in the hulking tight end throwing dodgeballs instead of pucks. Strap your helmets on, kids. Gronk is playing dodgeball on ice.

And so our reluctant hero, Rob Gronkowski takes to the ice to help separate the men from the boys. But, hey, while we’re here, we have to ask. How does one play dodgeball on ice? Seems kind of hard to, ya know, dodge, right? Or even to gain footing while you throw. Unless, of course, you’re Rob Gronkowski.
Of course he hit someone in the audience with his throw. That’s literally the least surprising aspect of this whole story. We’re surprised no one’s claiming that Gronk ate a dodgeball and spit its remains on center ice, then spiked his helmet on the ice and shot a peace sign to the crowd.
So while mere mortals may struggle with dodgeball on ice to the point where maybe we’d pass in the same of safety, Rob Gronkowski is happy to strap on his helmet and let ‘er loose. Never change, Gronk. Not even in the slightest.
