While you must be one of the best to make the NBA All-Star Team, it subsequently brings out the worst during the actual game itself.

Being named to the NBA All-Star team is one of the greatest honors a basketball player can receive. I mean think about it. There’s only 12 roster spots per conference for 24 slots in total. It’s a tremendous honor.

To be the coach of the team is a great thing just for the simple fact that your team is the front-runner for the number-one seed in your respective conference.

While it’s an honor to be named, it’s a chore to be there and most coaches could care less about “coaching it up.” Let’s be honest, you could take a coach from the local YMCA and the team might have a better shot at success.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr though, decided to take the “all out” approach and take his duties very seriously.

It’s obvious Kerr stayed up late a few nights this past week getting his gameplan in order. It’s good thing he did too because it’s admittedly a tough task to juggle the minutes of such talents like Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Chris Pual, James Harden and the star of the night so far Russell Westbrook.

Let’s just thank the lucky stars that Adam Silver and the NBA hasn’t implemented the Home Field Advantage rule yet. If they had, Kerr wouldn’t have received one wink of sleep the past few days.
