Steve Spurrier joined Twitter on Monday to the delight of many, although he made a pretty big error in his first tweet

The dream of all die-hard college football fans became a reality on Monday with the breaking news that South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier had joined Twitter. Yes, if you have not heard the news yet, this is not a drill, the Head Ball Coach is on Twitter and you can follow him at the handle, @SC_HBC.

Now with this news, of course, there were some that were skeptical as to whether or not it was actually Spurrier, given the fact that a lot of college football coaches just have their SIDs do all the tweet work.

Well we quickly found out that it may indeed be Spurrier on the keyboard, as there was a pretty significant error in the first ever tweet that he sent out.

While it has since been deleted, in his first tweet Spurrier made an unforgivable error among a lot of South Carolina fans when he accidentally tagged the University of Southern California, not his own school.

Again, it has since been deleted and replaced with a repaired version.

Oh now this is going to be fun! Even though there was a pretty big blunder in the first tweet, surely the Ol’ Ball Coach will make up for it down the line with some interesting stuff.

OK, so how long until he calls out Clemson?
