There are some things that are an absolute perfect match that you wonder how they ever existed separately.

Peanut butter needs jelly. Bagels need cream cheese. French fries need ketchup. But its more than just food pairings that are a match made in heaven, because there are plenty of examples of dynamic duos in the sports world.
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen was an unstoppable pairing for the Chicago Bulls and won six NBA championships. Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling were unhittable for the Arizona Diamondbacks en route to winning the World Series.
From Joe Montana and Jerry Rice to Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, the NFL has seen duos that just belonged together and they brought out each other’s best when they were together.
Which brings me to arguably the greatest boxer of his generation and one of the all-time greats in Floyd Mayweather who will have pop star Justin Bieber escort him to the ring when he fights Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
The fight has been in the works for the better part of the last five years and reportedly is expected to be the highest grossing event in boxing history, with a $74 million gate, having Bieber take part in the event seems like an odd pairing.
This isn’t the first time that Bieber has been in the entourage that followed Mayweather to the ring, but it is still every bit as puzzling how the two forged a relationship that is so close and meaningful that the undefeated pugilist wants the singer who is adored by tweens everywhere to walk him to the ring.
Athletes are a superstitious bunch so if it worked before, maybe it will work again and Mayweather doesn’t want to chance it and have someone from One Direction walk him to the ring.
