The NFL Draft was tonight, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell came wholly unprepared to say Marcus Mariota’s name correctly.

The NFL Draft was tonight and the league welcomed int he next batch of stars to it’s ranks — including Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota was in that ranks. The only thing is, Roger Goodell wasn’t really all that prepared to say the names of the prospects he was welcoming into his league.

Jameis Winston went No. 1 overall, but the trouble started where everyone claimed the draft did — at No. 2 overall.

The Tennessee Titans didn’t pull the trigger on a trade and ended up taking Marcus Mariota to be their franchise quarterback of the future. Roger Goodell was doing fine up until the point where he had to say Mariota’s name. At that point, he went full John Travolta on Mariota’s name and royally messed it up.

That’s not even close. Marcus Mariana would have been closer. Roger Goodell must not own a television, as this isn’t the first time a human being has had to say the name of Marcus Mariota, as his name has been rammed down our throats for months with speculation.

Goodell isn’t a man who does what he’s supposed to, and saying the name of draft picks correctly falls squarely in that category.
