1. San Antonio Spurs

If there was any team that seemed to be the perfect landing spot for Aldridge (as most people are saying) than it’s the San Antonio Spurs. I have to say that this only works if future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan retires. Maybe Timmy and LA could play together but I would think that Aldridge would only want to sign with the Spurs if Duncan passed the torch to him and retired. Who knows, but Aldridge would be a splendid fit in the Spurs motion-and-swing offense and a pairing with a possible future All-Star in Kawhi Leonard (is a free agent this summer as well) could help usher in a new era for the Spurs franchise. Think if Duncan stays and is paired with Aldridge. Not bad, huh.

The Spurs have arguably the best coach in basketball on their side (Gregg Popovich), championship pedigree (2014 NBA Champions), and a proven system where even the most ungifted and less talented players (Danny Green, Patty Mills, Tiago Splitter) have succeeded in over the last few years. Plus, Aldridge is a Texas native. The fit would be seamless and would elevate the Spurs title chances for years to come.
