Magic Johnson just received an honorary doctorate from Xavier University this past weekend, making him the coolest doctor in the world.

Being an NBA legend can’t be too difficult to live with, especially if you’re being honored with doctorate degrees in business from Xavier University of Louisiana. This past weekend, Magic Johnson was the subject of an honorary doctorate degree in business.

Johnson attended Michigan State for just two years, but has since looked very smart in the business world, owning a wealth of companies, including a movie theatre chain named after him.

Magic is also a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, making him a prime candidate for an honorary doctoral degree from Xavier as he was celebrated this past weekend at the graduation ceremony while U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder also received an honorary degree and spoke at the commencement.

Johnson played over a decade in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers before retiring after announcing his positive HIV test.

However, he has overcome all odds to become one of the most successful businessmen in all of America and looks like the kind of guy who kids would look up to. Magic is always making a good impression on everyone and there aren’t too many people who can say bad things about for former NBA superstar.

Just take a look at how cool he looks receiving a doctorate in business from Xavier University of Louisiana:

The Hall-0f-Famer is one of the only former NBA players who can be called “doctor” and it’s pretty cool to see one of the league’s brightest ex-stars excel off the court as well.

Besides earning doctorate degrees in business, the legend can be seen cheering his Spartans on as they make runs to the Final Four in March Madness. He was seen in the stands for most games this past March as Michigan State made an improbable run to the national semifinal.

Michigan State embraces their former son to the fullest extend and it has to make Spartan Nation pretty proud to see their former champion earn some pretty high honors for his excellence in business.

Magic Johnson was already a pretty cool guy, but now you can call him Doctor Magic Johnson. Probably the coolest doctor name ever.
