Jeff Teague, point guard for the Atlanta Hawks, wants to wear Kanye’s new Yeezy Boost on the court.

Kanye West’s new Yeezy Boosts are in high demand. So much so that one NBA player wants to wear them on the hardwood.

The Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague is not only an accomplished NBA player, he’s also a huge sneaker fan. Though his closet in Atlanta is filled with sneakers, his favorite is the Yeezy Boost, the shoes designed by Kanye West that were released by Adidas in February. Teague loves the shoe so much, in fact, that he wanted to wear them on the court.

Teague, who is a member of team Adidas, has been wearing the Crazylight Boosts 2015 for the Hawks playoff run, but the Yeezy Boosts are the new apple of his eye. When discussing his desire to rock the Yeezy Boost during a game, Teague admitted, “Yeah, I wanted to. When I sprained my ankle that put a hold on my plans.”

We’re not sure that’s what Kanye had in mind when he designed the Yeezy Boost in the first place, but we doubt he’d have a problem with it. Luckily for Teague, he plays in the NBA and not the NFL. We know that Roger Goodell would never allow this.

Among the Yeezy Boosts in Teague’s special shoe closet are dozens of other brand new, top-of-the-line kicks. At his home in Atlanta, he displays his favorites but is constantly taking inventory of his collection, getting rid of old models for his new favorites.

So, as the new ones come in, where do the old ones go? “Every year I swap out my closet,” Teague explained. “When I get new sneakers I send (the old ones) back to Indiana and start fresh in Atlanta with whatever is new.”

One day, the Yeezy Boosts will join the rest of his old sneakers back in Indiana, but for now, they’re safe and they may even make an appearance during the next Hawks’ home game.
